Hexahydrate ferrous sulfate (dried type)

CAS Registry Number: 7720-78-7 | Formula: FeSO4·7H2O

Applications

Molecular formula: FeSO4·7H2O

CAS number: 7720-78-7

Appearance: light green crystals

Properties: Soluble in water and glycerol, insoluble in ethanol. At 25℃, the solubility is approximately 22.8g/100g water. The relative density is about 1.897 (15℃), and the melting point is 671℃ (with decomposition). The aqueous solution is acidic, and the pH value of a 10% solution is approximately 3.7. Ferrous ions have reducibility and are easily oxidized to brownish-brown basic ferric sulfate in humid air. Heating causes the loss of crystalline water, losing 3 molecules of water at 70-73℃, and transforming into basic ferric sulfate above 156℃.

Uses: In industry, it is mainly used as a water purifier, disinfectant, iron catalyst catalyst, feed additive, and for processing one-water ferrous sulfate, etc. In agriculture, it is used as fertilizer, herbicide, and pesticide.

Packaging: Inner liner is a transparent plastic bag, outer covering is a plastic woven bag. Each bag weighs 25 kilograms or 50 kilograms, or 1000 kilograms in a woven bag.
